2015 is the Stagehands' 30th year!! And we're celebrating in a BIG way... the theatre will be super-busy as we have a VERY full theatrical year being planned. Here's how the first half of the season is shaping up...

JANUARY - "Guys On Ice" - What could be more fun that a musical about the joys of ice fishing in Wisconsin's single digit temps? Featuring deep thoughts about life, love and Leinies! Directed by Beth Deutsch

FEB. 27, 28, MAR 1 & Mar. 6-8 - "Hibernation" - Featuring a few talented teens, this is a coming-of-age story with heart and humor. Directed by Logan Toftness

APRIL 11 & 12 - "Spring Concert" by the Community Choir - Directed by Cindy Kongshaug

MAY/JUNE - "Over the Tavern" - Directed by Frank Kronyac

In our ongoing commitment of supporting the stage arts in this community, the Spring Valley Stagehands turn over the theatre to the annual Spring Valley High School play to be performed in November. This year, it's a musical play about Robin Hood and it's sure to be great. The director is Beth Deutsch.

The Stagehands will be back in December for their Christmas season shows.

"Colors of Christmas" Community Choir concert.

December 6 (7 pm)

and December 7 (2 pm)

Director: Cindy Kongshaug.

December 12 and 13 (7 pm)

and December 14 (4 pm)

"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever".

In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids--probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem - and the fun - when the Herdmans collide head on with the Christmas story!

Director: Ann Turner

Welcome to Spring Valley Theater!

Imagine. Create. Perform. Have fun with the Stagehands!! Spring Valley Community Theatre has been a vibrant theatrical force in the area for 29 years.

At an initial organizational meeting in December, 1984, the Spring Valley Stagehands were created and have thrived in a renovated movie house on the Main Street of town. Pooling the amazing talents from this community and all the surrounding area, the theatre group has produced hundreds of shows and concerts. Ranging from broad comedy to Broadway, with dashes of drama and pageantry, the Stagehands continue to present knockout productions year after year.

The group is open to any and all community members interested in giving theatre a try. Whether your interest is on-stage or off, there's room for you at the Spring Valley Theatre. Acting, singing, dancing, directing, stage design, construction, graphic arts, public relations, photography, makeup and hair, costuming - there's a spot for everyone.

With monthly member meetings (generally on the first Sunday of each month. 7 pm at the theatre), there's no reason why you can't stop in and find out what's going on now.
