AUDITION INFO

DATES OF AUDITIONS: Sept. 21 (12-4 pm) and Sept. 22 (6-8 pm). If you are unable to attend on either of those dates, please let the director know (you can send a message through the link below) and we'll set up an individual reading.

DATES OF FOUR PERFORMANCES: Friday, December 12 (7 pm), Saturday, December 13 (2 pm AND 7 pm), Sunday, December 14 (2 pm).

SHOW SYNOPSIS: Join the Stagehands and get involved in our 2025 Christmas play - CHRISTMAS BELLES - a farce/comedy about the delightfully zany Futrelle Sisters - Frankie, Twink, and Honey Raye - and their disastrous attempt to put on a sparkling, innovative Christmas nativity show.

PAPERWORK: You will be asked to fill out a simple audition form with name/address/experience/etc. AND a calendar to fill in with your potential schedule conflicts so that a rehearsal schedule can be set up. 

​

AUDITION STYLE: Cold read from sections of the script. Looking for volume, ease of reading, clarity, and an attempt at some character suggestions. This show is set in Texas - so practice your southern drawl too!

Honey Raye Futrelle - (approx 40-50) oldest Futrelle sister

Twink Futrelle - (approx 40) middle Futrelle sister

Frankie Futrelle - (approx late 30s-early 40s) youngest Futrelle sister

Dub Dubberly - (approx in his 40s) Frankie's husband

Gina Joe (GJ) Dubberly - (approx in her early 20s) Frankie and Dub's daughter

John Curtis Buntner - (approx in his 40s) deputy sheriff

Rhonda Lynn Lampley - (approx in her early 50s) manager of The Dairy Dog

Raynerd Chisum - (HS age or older) part-time employee at The Dairy Dog

Justin Waverly - (approx in his 20s) interim Pastor at the Tabernacle of the Lamb

Patsy Price - (approx in her 50s) local society matron

AUDITION INFO

f you're a regular at Stagehands, this show might look familiar. We received numerous requests to bring Passion of Christ back when it was originally performed in April 2025, so we are bringing it back in 2026!

​

Audition Dates/Times:

December 20, 2025 — 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
December 21, 2025 — 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
 

You are welcome to prepare a song if you would like, but it is not required—we have many familiar tunes Plus, there are plenty of roles that don’t involve singing at all, so there’s something for everyone.


Performance Dates:
March 20–22, 2026

March 27–29, 2026


Showtimes:
Evening performances: Friday and Saturday
Matinee performances: Saturday and Sunday
